Expected Behavior
Be Kind and Constructive
- Use encouraging and supportive language
- Offer constructive feedback when appropriate
- Celebrate others' achievements and milestones
- Be patient with those who are just starting their journey
- Assume good intentions in others' actions and words
Maintain Privacy and Safety
- Respect others' privacy - don't share personal information without permission
- Keep focus session and study room conversations appropriate
- Don't record video or audio sessions without explicit consent from all participants
- Report any concerning behavior to our moderation team
- Protect your own privacy by being mindful of what you share
Share Responsibly
- Share habits, journal entries, and content that adds value to the community
- Give credit when sharing ideas or content from others
- Be honest about your experiences - both successes and setbacks
- Use content warnings when discussing sensitive topics
- Keep shared content relevant to productivity and personal development
Collaborate Effectively
- In study rooms and focus sessions, maintain a productive atmosphere
- Use chat features for their intended purpose
- Be punctual and respectful of others' time in scheduled sessions
- Communicate clearly and professionally
- Honor commitments to accountability partners
Prohibited Behavior
The following behaviors are not tolerated in the LifeZeus community:
Harassment and Abuse
- Bullying, threatening, or intimidating other users
- Hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
- Sexual harassment or unwanted sexual attention
- Doxxing or sharing others' private information
- Stalking or persistent unwanted contact
Inappropriate Content
- Sexually explicit or pornographic content
- Graphic violence or gore
- Content promoting self-harm or suicide
- Illegal content or activities
- Content that glorifies dangerous or harmful behavior
Spam and Manipulation
- Spam, including repetitive messages or content
- Unsolicited advertising or promotional content
- Pyramid schemes or multi-level marketing
- Artificially inflating engagement or gaming the system
- Impersonating other users or entities
Disruptive Behavior
- Trolling or deliberately provoking others
- Disrupting focus sessions or study rooms
- Spreading misinformation or conspiracy theories
- Excessive negativity or discouragement
- Off-topic content that derails conversations
Platform Abuse
- Attempting to hack, exploit, or compromise the platform
- Creating multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions
- Scraping or harvesting user data
- Using bots or automation without permission
- Circumventing platform features or limitations
Focus Sessions & Study Rooms
Video-based features require additional consideration to maintain a safe and productive environment:
Video Etiquette
- Dress appropriately and ensure your background is suitable
- Minimize distractions and background noise
- Stay focused on your work during focus sessions
- Use the mute function when not speaking
- Be mindful of what's visible in your camera frame
Chat Guidelines
- Keep chat messages relevant and respectful
- Use chat for quick questions, encouragement, or brief breaks
- Don't spam or flood the chat
- Respect when others are in deep focus and may not respond immediately
- Report inappropriate chat behavior to moderators
Room Management
- Room creators are responsible for maintaining a positive environment
- Use password protection for private rooms with friends
- Remove disruptive participants if necessary
- Clearly communicate room expectations (e.g., silent work, Pomodoro timing)
- Report rooms that violate guidelines
Sharing Habits & Journals
Public Habits
When making habits public:
- Ensure content is appropriate for all audiences
- Be honest about your progress and setbacks
- Provide helpful context or tips when relevant
- Don't promote unhealthy or dangerous habits
- Respect that others may have different approaches or goals
Shared Journals
When sharing journal entries:
- Consider your audience and adjust privacy settings accordingly
- Be mindful of sensitive personal information
- Use shared journals to inspire and educate, not to boast or discourage
- Respect the vulnerability of others who share their journeys
- Don't use shared journals for commercial purposes without permission
Following & Engagement
- Follow users whose content inspires or motivates you
- Engage authentically - meaningful comments over generic praise
- Don't pressure others to follow you back
- Respect when users make their content private
- Report content that violates guidelines
Reporting & Moderation
How to Report
If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines:
- Use the report button on content, profiles, or in sessions
- Provide specific details about the violation
- Include screenshots or evidence when possible
- Email [email protected] for urgent safety concerns
- Don't engage with or retaliate against violators
Our Response
When violations are reported, we will:
- Review reports promptly and thoroughly
- Investigate the context and severity of violations
- Take appropriate action based on our findings
- Communicate decisions to involved parties when appropriate
- Maintain confidentiality throughout the process
Enforcement Actions
Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, we may:
- Issue a warning and request behavior change
- Temporarily restrict access to certain features
- Temporarily suspend the account
- Permanently ban the account
- Report illegal activity to appropriate authorities
We consider factors like intent, impact, history, and willingness to change when determining appropriate action.
Appeals
If you believe a moderation decision was made in error:
- Email [email protected] with your account details
- Explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered
- Provide any relevant context or evidence
- Be respectful and professional in your appeal
- Allow up to 7 business days for a response
Special Considerations
Mental Health
While LifeZeus supports personal growth, we're not a substitute for professional mental health care:
- Don't provide or request medical or psychological advice
- If someone expresses thoughts of self-harm, encourage them to seek professional help
- Report concerning content to our team immediately
- Be supportive but recognize the limits of peer support
- Resources: National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (988), Crisis Text Line (text HOME to 741741)
Minors
Users aged 13-17 require special protection:
- Don't request personal information from minors
- Report any inappropriate contact with minors immediately
- Parents/guardians should monitor minor accounts
- Minors should not share identifying information publicly
- We may restrict certain features for minor accounts
Commercial Use
LifeZeus is primarily for personal productivity, not commercial promotion:
- Don't use the platform primarily for business promotion
- Occasional sharing of relevant resources is acceptable
- Contact us for partnership or sponsorship opportunities
- Affiliate links and referral codes require disclosure
- Coaches and consultants should follow professional ethics
Updates to Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines as our platform and community evolve. When we make significant changes:

- We'll notify users through email or in-app notifications
- Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated guidelines
